God is not always hiding from you. Sometimes He is hiding for you, walking your ordinary road, waiting to be recognized in the very place you least expect.

God did not remove Jacob's struggle — He entered it. Whatever you are wrestling tonight, you are not alone. Hold on. Daybreak, and the blessing, are coming.

We prepare the horse; God gives the victory. Everything built in our own strength is an army of nothing — until He makes it stand.

We are experts on other people's flaws and amateurs at our own. The measure we use on others is the same measure that returns to us.

No one leaps into Sodom. We drift there one reasonable step at a time. But the ache in your soul is grace — God refusing to let you feel at home in compromise.
